Started by Patrick C. Caplice in the Sixties the company has sold everything from railway sleepers, depreciated and scrap machinery, livestock, land, Hotel's, licensed premises, commercial warehouses and residential property.
Patrick J. Caplice joined the firm in 1991 and the force of Caplice and Caplice was something to be reckoned with. By the year 2000 Patrick Caplice Auctioneers were selling 90% of all property in and around the Cahir area with land sales and second hand house sales being Paddy seniors forte, general residential and new housing developments Pat juniors. The team dovetailed nicely.
Patrick C. Caplice was planning his semi-retirement when he died in April of 2003 but his moral stance and devotion to professional ethics are still the backbone of this firm.
Sadie Caplice, Paddy's wife, who has been a partner in the firm from the start is still running the office and holds the moral compass for the juniors to follow. Sadie, knows just about everything there is to know about the business after 35 and is an invaluable source of reference for the office.
Niamh Higgins joined the firm in August 2004 and is responsible for advertising, valuations and general administration.
The newest addition to our firm and part of out commitment to the future is Sharon O'Brien. Sharon is responsible for office and general administration.

We have been a member of the I.A.V.I since 1980 and Pat qualified with an houners degree Bachelor of Science from DIT Bolten Street in 2006. Pat is the third generation of Caplice to service the community from the same building. Started by his grandfather, Mossie Caplice, in the thirty as a Bar and Grocery the family and this building have given loyal service for eighty years.
